DSWD eyes to sign pact with DILG for full enforcement of anti-'epal' policy on 4Ps
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is eyeing to sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to ensure that its Anti-Epal campaign that seeks to "insulate” its Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from partisan politics will be fully enforced.

DSWD Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista said they were crafting guidelines to spare the program from the influence of politics, as the local and nationals polls will be held in May 2022.
“Sa kasalukuyan may mga binubuo kami na (Currently, we are crafting) guidelines to insulate the program from the politics,” he said in a Palace virtual briefing on Monday, July 5.
Since 2013, the DSWD has been implementing its anti-epal information campaign, which seeks to shield the 4Ps from the influence of electoral candidates.
“Inisip namin dito ay magkaroon ng MOA with DILG para sigurado natin ‘yung enforcement nitong polisiya na ito ay susundin at maoobsserve ng lahat ng ating pullitiko (We thought of having an MOA with DILG so that we can be sure that the enforcement of this policy will be followed and observed by all our politicians),” Bautista said.
