DICES calls for donations for communities affected by Taal Volcano unrest
After Taal Volcano was placed under Alert Level 3, over 5,000 residents in Batangas have left their homes and sought shelter in evacuation centers.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised Taal Volcano's alert level following three phreatomagmatic eruptions on July 1.
In light of the unrest, schools under the Diocese of Imus Catholic Educational System (DICES) have opened their doors to receive donations for the benefit of the communities affected by Taal Volcano's recent activities.
"We at DICES appeal for your prayers and donations for our fellow Filipinos affected by the Taal volcano eruption. Help us provide a relief response and assistance to our brothers and sisters who might be in desperate need of help right now," Batang DICES wrote on Facebook.
DICES schools are accepting cash and in-kind donations for evacuees.
Interested donors may contact any DICES schools in their area to coordinate their donations.
On Sunday, July 4, Phivolcs recorded Taal Volcano's highest level of sulfur dioxide emission after it released 22,628 tonnes per day of sulfur dioxide.
