LOOK: Pacquiao leaves for US amid verbal sparring with Duterte

Senator Manny Pacquiao flew to the United States (US) at around 10 p.m. Saturday to train for his August 21 mega fight against American welterweight champion Errol Spence.

Pacquiao is seen here with passport in hand and surrounded by his entourage before his departure from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City.

The 42-year-old ring legend left the Philippines amid the souring of his relationship President Duterte, a fellow Mindanaoan. This began when Pacquiao started linking government agencies under the current administration to corruption.

Although he has yet to officially declare anything, Pacquiao is widely believed to be running for president in the May 2022 polls.
