Lego on your feet? Looks lit!

One might assume that Lego and your foot are not a good combo. Have you ever stepped on the plastic toy brick before? But it’s not what you’re thinking. Adidas originals and the Lego Group have re-established their partnership, launching the playful Adidas Originals Lego Superstar sneaker, a fresh take on the classic silhouette. The new product is unveiled alongside a buildable Superstar Lego brick model. Be careful not to mistaken one for the other though.

Highlighting iconic elements from both brands, the Adidas Originals Lego Superstar sneaker marries the shoe brand’s archival aesthetics with the Danish toy company’s recognizable bricks. Gold foil accents round out the striking look.

The pair is available in adult and kids sizing. Children have the option of a colorful and playful variant.

A collectible display piece recreating the iconic sneaker is also offered. Similar to the real thing, the Lego version includes the Adidas Originals Superstar sneaker graphics, shell toe shape, trefoil logo, and serrated three-stripes mark. Right shoe or left shoe? It’s up to you. Maybe do both.

The set has 17 extra Lego elements, allowing you to build either the right- or left-foot sneaker. For extra realism, it even has shoelaces and comes in an authentic shoe box.

‘It’s been a super collaborative process with valuable insights shared about the art of shoemaking, and now we just look forward to seeing how fans will take to the model, customizing it in their own unique and wonderful ways.’

The model measures over 12 cm high, 27 cm long, and 9 cm wide. Lego and Adidas fans alike will appreciate the model, especially placed on a display stand.

“As a kid of the ’80s and growing up in the ’90s, the Superstar sneaker with its rich street art culture was such an iconic item, and that’s also when I got my first pair,” says senior designer at the Lego Group, Florian Müller. “So when the collaboration with adidas started I was super excited to work on this model. As shoes represent very organic objects, made from flexible material that also looks different on every person, it was a fun challenge to translate this into the Lego System in Play, which by nature is square and blocky. Thanks to the Superstar team at Adidas Originals it’s been a super collaborative process with valuable insights shared about the art of shoemaking, and now we just look forward to seeing how fans will take to the model, customizing it in their own unique and wonderful ways”.

The Lego Adidas Originals Superstar will beavailable starting today, at Lego brand retail and Adidas stores. It retails for ₱2,700.
