VIRAL! Here's why Doraemon recently trended online

The latest post of A2Z Channel 11 recently made waves on social media.

The free TV channel currently housing many ABS-CBN programs under a block time partnership with Zoe Broadcasting Network announced the arrival of the titular robot cat from the iconic anime series "Doraemon."

"Muli nang magbubukas ang kanyang mahiwagang bulsa!" the caption read.

Many netizens find the promotional "hilarious."

Apparently, it's the same way GMA-7 teased Bea Alonzo's network transfer.

Some saw the move as "mocking" the actress.

"THE SHADE OF IT ALL!!! (rolling on the floor laughing emojis)," an online user wrote.

Another added: "Bea left the group! (rolling on the floor laughing emojis)."

"I see what you did there (face with tears of joy emoji)."

Others said losing Bea and getting Doraemon in return is a "good trade."

Note the show has been with ABS-CBN since March 2019.

Its airing was cut short last year after the network was denied a franchise.
