Over 500 landless farmers in Isabela finally get own farmland
The long wait is over for the 575 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Isabela after they finally received their land titles from the government.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) on Saturday, July 3, said they have distributed certificates of land ownership awards (CLOAs) to beneficiaries in the towns of Jones, Naguilian, and Delfin Albano.
The distributed land titles covered 840.69 hectares of agricultural lands located in 19 municipalities in the province.
"With this land title, all of you are now free from the burden of paying the rentals for the use of the land as well as from the fear of getting ejected as tenants,” Agrarian Secretary Brother John Castriciones said during the distribution.
One of the beneficiaries in Ilagan, Delfin Pascua, 51, expressed his elation for having his own farm land saying, "I now have something to pass on to my children.”
Meanwhile, land titles were also handed over to seven rebel-returnees from the municipality of Echague.
This move, Castriciones said, could help convince more of their fellow fighters to return to the folds of the law and come back to society.
"If we are going to help them so that they will be able to recover from this plight of theirs, definitely, it will solve the problems we have when it comes to insurgency," he added.
During the distribution, the ARB recipients were oriented on their roles, rights, and responsibilities as agrarian beneficiaries.
