Why Maria Isabela Galeria did not pursue application for MUPh 2021

Fashion model Maria Isabela Galeria is one of the most-awaited candidates in the Miss Universe Philippines Competition this year.

Her fans, however, were disappointed when she did not push her application in the national pageant.

On Instagram, Galeria revealed why she did not try her luck again in pageantry.

Her full post:

"Hello everyone!! First and foremost, I’d like to thank all of you for the endless love and support you have given me since day 1. You never fail to make me feel loved. On the days I didn’t feel the brightest, you became my light. You guys are the true reason why I’m still fighting. My IsaBelievers, GalerianZ, and to all of my supporters, I love you guys!!

"I didn’t pursue my application for Miss Universe Philippines this year. I made a conscious decision to prepare myself more because I want to be my 100% the next time I carry Sorsogon across my heart.

"I hope you can still support me in my next journey. I love you all, and I appreciate every single one of you!

"Till the next battle."

In Sept. 2020, Galeria became one of the official candidates of MUPh.

But days before the preliminaries, she backed out after she was tested positive for COVID-19.

When she recovered, Galeria said she would join MUPh in 2021, but she changed her mind.
