What do you think of Celine Pialago's new 'inspired' look?

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago isn't the type of person who cuts her hair out of gloom. In fact, she appears to be the opposite of that.

Pialago on Thursday night, July 29 debuted on Facebook her newly-shortened hair that's just past her shoulders.

"Hindi lahat ng nagpapagupit heart broken yung iba inspired #teammalasakitmovement (Not everybody who gets their hair cut is heart-broken, some of them are inspired)," she wrote, as if to say that she's in a good place.

A comparison with her previous Facebook photo upload showed that the 30-year-old bid adieu to a significant length of her locks:

It didn't matter though as her followers seemed to like her new 'do. In under 30 minutes, the post garnered over 7,500 likes and 2,700 heart reactions.

Pialago, who also wears the hat of National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson on public affairs and youth concerns, has been focused lately on her non-government organization dubbed the Malasakit Movement.

She founded the group a few years ago after being inspired by journalist Kara David’s “Project Malasakit”, a non-stock, non-profit foundation that sends poor Filipino children to school. “Malasakit” means “concern for others” in Filipino.

These past few weeks, the Malasakit Movement has been carrying out its signature "Meat on Wheels" program in different parts of Metro Manila.

Launched in February 2021, the program is designed to give families in the metropolis access to affordable meat products. For instance, beef caldereta cut can be bought for as low as P199 a kilo, while pork sinigang cut is priced at P170 a kilo.
