DepEd disclosed this in a Facebook post on Wednesday night, July 28.
“44,012 DepEd personnel have self-reported their vaccination status as of July 26, 2021!,” it wrote on Facebook. The breakdown is as follows: 39,749 teaching personnel and 4,263 non-teaching employees.
The Education department asked its teaching and non-teaching personnel to share information and status of their vaccination against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“All 1M+ DepEd teaching and non-teaching personnel are encouraged to report their vaccination status, even those who have not yet received their first dose, through the DepEd Mobile App,” the post read.
DepEd has developed its own mobile app “to give our personnel and teachers a hassle-free and contactless way of handing out their vaccination status.”
