Caloocan city gov't inoculates senior citizens with J&J vaccine at pension payout sites

The city government of Caloocan City inoculated senior citizens with Johnson & Johnson Janssen one-shot vaccine on July 27-28 after claiming their pension at the payout sites.

"Bilang ang ating mga senior citizen ay kasama sa pinaka-vulnerable sa sakit, patuloy tayong gumagawa ng paraan upang mas mailapit sa kanila ang bakuna. Patuloy natin silang hinihikayat na magpabakuna na para sa kanilang proteksyon (As our senior citizens are among the most vulnerable to the disease, we continue to work on ways to bring the vaccine closer to them. We continue to encourage them to get vaccinated for their protection),” Mayor Oca Malapitan said.

Around 1,025 vaccine slots were allotted to the 12 pension payout sites for the senior citizens last Tuesday and 538 slots to the two payout sites on Wednesday.

The city government has already inoculated 80,245 senior citizens with their first dose and fully vaccinated 46,767.
