The twin towers of Dell Palomata and Mar-Jana Phillips salvaged a thrilling 25-20, 25-12, 24-26, 21-25, 15-10 win for Sta. Lucia to survive Cherry Tiggo's late game scare in the 2021 PVL Open Conference at the PCV Socio-Civic & Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte Wednesday, July 28.

Leading 13-9 in the fifth and last set, Palomata and Phillips joined forces to shut down Dindin Santiago-Manabat's attack twice at the wing en route to the Lady Realtors second straight victory.
Phillips led Sta. Lucia with 23 points, 16 coming from kills, while Palomata chipped in three points.
Jovielyn Prado hammered 19 points on top of 17 kills while Jonah Sabete had 18 markers for the Lady Realtors.
The Crossovers earlier forced a fifth frame decider with impressive comebacks in the third and fourth frames courtesy of Santiago-Manabat, Prado, and Mylene Paat.

Tied at 24-all in the delayed third set after a point from Paat, Sta. Lucia committed an error as Phillips' attack hit the antenna before Santiago-Manabat pummelled a through the block spike.
The Crossovers earlier pulled off an 8-1 run capped by a Sabete error to give Chery Tiggo a 23-22 lead.
Gaining momentum from the third set, Chery Tiggo was already up 21-16 in the fourth frame but Sta. Lucia uncorked a 4-0 blitz to cut the deficit by one, 21-20.
The Crossovers rallied three straight points in return before a costly service error from Prado gave a glimmer of hope for Chery Tiggo entering the final set but eventually fell short.
The Santiago sisters powered Chery Tiggo as Dindin tallied 20 points, 19 highlighted by kills, while Jaja added 10 kills to haul 14 markers.
Sta. Lucia improved to a 3-3 record while Chery Tiggo fell to a 3-2 slate.
