Casa de Memoria's 'Tercero' auction

As the lockdown slowly eases, more hosts are starting to invite intimate group of friends to their homes for some much-needed catching up. And what better way to spend this time than by having a conversation or two about rare and ornate auction pieces?

Casa de Memoria’s “Tercero” is now live online and will continue until July 31, 2021, Saturday. An auction where the rich historic past meets the modern present, bidders can take their pick from an alluring variety of Filipino and European pieces to elevate their homes, which have become a safe haven for most during these trying times.

“We have put together an extraordinary collection of vintage pieces that combine art, culture and playful inspirations,” Camille Lhuillier-Albani, Casa de Memoria’s general manager says. “From paintings and chandeliers to furniture and more, the auction items at Tercero have been carefully chosen─and in some cases, transformed─to awe and inspire our bidders to elevate their homes into a refuge for art, culture, and design.”

The auction house highlights lots such as antique lamps that bring sophistication while creating a cozy ambiance, and evocative paintings and prints that can make any space look complete. Some of our personal favorites are the 20th century Spanish barber's armchair seats with solihiya seats and backrests (Lot 1) by Daniel Acha, the 19th century Portuguese mahogany fauteuils in Louis XV style (Lot 63) upholstered by Monchet Olives, and an acrylic painting titled "Talvez" (Lot 92) by Portuguese contemporary artist, Joana Rêgo.

Take home any of these exquisite pieces and you will be supporting a worthwhile cause as Casa de Memoria will donate part of the auction’s proceeds to a local charitable institution to aid those badly affected by the pandemic.
