6 national roads remain either closed or flooded, says DPWH
Six national roads that were affected by the southwest monsoon rains remained either closed and hardly passable Tuesday, July 27, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

Two national road sections in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and one each in Region 3 and 4-B are still inaccessible to all types of vehicles due to collapsed soil, bridge approach, and washed-out box culvert.
The DPWH-Bureau of Maintenance identified the closed roads as the Busa Bridge along Baguio-Bontoc Road in Sabangan, Mt. Province; sections of Abra-Kalinga Road in Gacab, Malibcong, Abra; zigzag section of the Junction Layac Balanga Mariveles Port Road in Bataan; and Pag-asa Section of the Mindoro West Coastal Road in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.
Meanwhile, two roads in Pampanga reportedly remain flooded and closed to light vehicles. These are the section of Apalit Macabebe Masantol Road in Calsada Bayu, Sta. Lucia Matua, Masantol and the Minalen-Macabebe Section of the Sto Tomas-Minalin Road.
A total of 22 national road sections in CAR, Metro Manila, Regions 1, 4-A, and 4-B that had to be closed to motorists as a result of the torrential rains have gradually reopened since July 22, the department said.
