More than 17 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered as of July 25 - DOH

A total of 17,202,421 doses of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines have already been administered as of July 25, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.

Data released by the DOH showed 11,113,107 have received their first doses while 6,089,314 have already completed the two-dose regimen.

Those who received their first doses were workers in frontline health services totaling 1,945,838; senior citizens, 2,836,224; individuals with comorbidity, 3,617,104; frontline personnel in essential sector, 2,288,859; and indigent population, 425,082.

Those who completed their second doses are the following:1,396,737 workers in frontline health services; 1,600,558 senior citizens; 2,050,279 individuals with comorbidity; 812,141 frontline personnel in essential sector; and indigent population 229,599.

In their vaccination rollout update, the DOH also revealed that the total doses administered in the 21st week of the national vaccination reached 2,106,160 doses.

The DOH urged the public to continue to follow the minimum public health standards and to get vaccinated to protect themselves against COVID-19.

"Let's remember to properly wear our masks and face shields, observe physical distancing, wash our hands, and ensure there is ventilation when we are indoors," it said.

"Also, let's get vaccinated when it's our turn and get the second dose as scheduled. Together, we can beat COVID-19!" added DOH.
