Shooter Valdez misses Olympic medal contention

Shooter Jayson Valdez failed to enter for the medal round after finishing 44th in the men’s 10-meter air rifle qualification of the Tokyo Olympics.

Valdez compiled 612.6 points after six series which quickly ended his maiden appearance in the Summer Games.

Only the top eight shooters advanced to the medal round, with China’s Yang Haoran topping the qualifications with 632.7 points.
