Willie Revillame still undecided on Senate run

TV host Willie Revillame recently revealed news reporters have been asking to interview him relating to his alleged plan to join politics.

On a recent episode of his show "Wowowin-Tutok To Win," Willie said he won't grant any interviews until a final decision has been settled.

"So wala muna ho akong interview. Kasi wala pa naman akong desisyon. So pag may pa interview na ako, pag may desisyon na," he said. "E ayoko munang mag pa interview dahil pinag-i-isipan at pinag-a-aralan ko pa. Hindi ho ako nag fa-file, wala akong ano... basta yun ho, kung ano man ho yun, intayin ko lang ho yung aming pag-uusap. Pagkatapos ng pag-uusap. Then I will decide. Then I will announce. So ngayon ho, wala naman akong i-announce dahil wala naman akong commitment."

Recall that news about him running for a senate post started with him hinting about passing on his role as TV host of "Wowowin" to someone else due to a “big decision” he is set to make.

Later, Willie asked the public not to insult celebrities joining politics.

“Huwag kayong mag-alala hindi ako kenkoy sa Senado. Hindi kami magkekenkoyan. Tutulong, gagawa ng paraan, gagawa ng batas sa mga taong nagugutom. Hindi po magpapatawa doon,” he said then.

“Huwag niyo naman kami nilalait dahil kami malinis ang puso. Kami ang pag-iisip, walang iniisip. Nasa sa tao ang pag-gawa ng kawalanghiyaan. Nasa sa iyo kung magnanakaw. Wala po sa isip ko yan.” 

Anyway, the comedian-TV host reiterated that more than anything, he wants to continue making his viewers happy. 
"I hope maintindihan niyo. Once lumabas naman akong magdesisyon na, ayun open na ako sa lahat. Pero ngayon ho, hindi ako pwedeng mag desisyon, at hindi ako pwedeng mag pa-interview kasi wala namn ho kayong maitatanong. 'Tatakbo ka ba? Ganito?' Wala pa ho sa desisyon ko yan. Gusto ko muna mag 'Wowowin,' gusto ko muna magpasaya, gusto ko munang makatulong sa programang ito hangga't wala pang desisyon."

He also reiterated that the start of filing of the certificate of candidacy will happen in October, which gives him few more months to weighs his decision.


"Pasensiya na kayo. Sana maintindihan niyo. Wala ho akong desisyon pa kasi e. So kalimutan niyo muna natin yan, sa tungkol diyan," he urged.

"Meron na nga mga nagsasabi na yung kukunin daw nilang senatorial eh yung daw hindi nag bu-Budots, yun daw yung hindi nagpapatawa at hindi nagbibigay ng jacket. At hindi yung nag sa-swab mag-isa. Well, kung sino ka man, attorney, tingnan mo yung ginawa namin sa ating mga kababayan na naghihirap. Tapatan mo yun. Pag na tinapatan mo yun, bilib ako sayo."


Willie noted one doesn't have to be "magaling at marunong" to help others.

 
"Kumuha ka ng magagaling na abugado, di ba? Para ikaw ay makagawa ng magandang batas. Ang importante matulungan mo yung mga naghihirap nating mga kababayan. Yung kakainin nila sa araw-araw, pambili ng gamot - yan ang dapat. Kaya ka nga binoboto para makatulong ka. Kaya ka nga inilalagay diyan para sa kanila, hindi naman pansarili mo - kahit sino ka pa, abogado, doctor - basta maganda dapat ang hangarin natin," he said.


"This is not the right time para tayo magkumpara-kumpara. Saka wala pa ho akong desisyon kaya 'wag niyo muna akong tirahin, di ba? Wala munang tirahan kasi wala pa namang desisyon e."
