DOH lists 6,216 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines recorded 6,216 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Saturday, July 24.

Based on the latest Department of Health's (DOH) case bulletin, the country's cumulative tally of cases is now at 1,543,281. Of these cases, 54,401 were active.

Of the active infections, 93.4 percent were mild, 1.2 percent were asymptomatic, 1.4 percent were critical, 2.3 percent are severe, 1.62 percent were in moderate condition.

The DOH also recorded 6,778 recoveries, raising the number of those who have survived the illness to 1,461,749.

However, the agency also confirmed 241 more fatalities. This brought the country's death toll to 27,131.

The DOH also had reported 17 new cases of the COVID-19 virus Delta variant. These raised the total confirmed cases of Delta variant in the Philippines to 64.
