Lovers Kim Molina, Jerald Napoles on pros and cons of working together

Celebrity couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles are set to share the big screen anew.

Note that the film, Viva's "Ikaw At Ako At Ang Ending," is the real-life sweethearts second movie together this year, following “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam.”

Directed by Irene Emma Villamor, "Ikaw At Ako At Ang Ending" is about two hopeless strangers, Mylene and Martin, who meet in an unexpected time where both are trying to escape their miserable realities.

The teaser trailer for the movie premiered on YouTube on July 11.

In an interview, Kim and Jerald were asked about the pros and cons of working with one another.

"For me it was easy. Pero kailangan ko siyang balansehin kasi may mga eksena na masyado kong napapakita na mahal ko siya," the sexy actress-singer said.

"So si Direk, kailangan niya akong kausapin. Kailangan niyang sabihin sa akin na 'O Kim, hindi ikaw si Kim dito.' So kahit ganito yung mga eksena, kinailangan ko talaga siyang balansehin. Pero pag dating naman sa pag pag-ibig na mga eksena na malalalim - yun, it was siyempre madali na for us. Nakikita naman sa aming mga mata."

According to Jerald, it was an advantage that they already have a relationship because they were able to share the screen comfortably.

"Pero ang mahirap kasi du'n, ayaw namin mag-result sa masyadong pagiging comfortable sa isa't-isa especially for the roles that were portraying."

But the comedian-actor reiterated it was helpful for some other scenes.

"Na hindi na kailangan i-warm up ng director yung mga artista niya kung ano ba yung gagawin regarding sa blocking. Pero yun din, para maging grounded yung character, hindi kami pwedeng maging masyadong comfortable."

Direk Irene attested that the two stars were able to give justice to their characters in the film.

When asked if the couple's performances are what she envisioned, Irene said: "Oo naman and more actually."

"Kasi sa kanila nga ako humihingi ng tulong kung papaano ba i-interpret yung mga characters kasi mahuhusay sila. And ang laki ng input nila in shaping the characters of Mylene and Martin."

"Ikaw At Ako At Ang Ending" will start streaming on Aug. 13 on ktx.ph, iWant TFC, TFC IPTV, and on VIVAMAX.
