Police have destroyed more than P21 million worth of marijuana plants in a series of raids in Kalinga on Tuesday.
Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee, director of the Cordillera Administrative Region police, said a total of 107,500 fully-grown marijuana plants were seized from more than 6,000 square meter plantations in Tinglayan town on Tuesday morning.
Lee said the eradication was conducted in three plantation sites, adding that all of them were burned on site.
There were no arrest made but the local police are investigating to identify those behind the marijuana cultivation.
