Angel Locsin reveals story behind royal lineage

Did you know that Angel Locsin is a royal?

No, we don't mean she is among so-called softdrink beauties like Pepsi, Sarsi, Coca, among others.

Angel is of royal lineage.

How?

Her grandfather is among 15 sultans of Marawi City.

But she is Christian.

What gives?

In a recent conversation with actor Matteo Guidicelli, Angel shared the whys and hows of the matter.

"May dalawang version kasi. Yung version na alam ko, na kinalakihan ko, is yung mommy ko was adopted...Noong naghihikahos yung lolo at lola ko, nagmagandang-loob yung princess ng Marawi at in-adopt yung mommy ko..."

And the second version?

"Sinasabi nila na parang anak sa labas (ang mom ko). Parang ganon... 'di ko rin alam. Basta ako, I'm just really happy na parte sila ng buhay ko."

Well, who wouldn't?

By luck, by chance or whatever, it is still cool to be a royal.

Just ask the Queen Mother herself, Karla Estrada.
