Advincula to lead Pabillo's installation as bishop of Taytay, Palawan
Archdiocese of Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula will lead the installation of Bishop Broderick Pabillo as the new shepherd of the Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay, Palawan.

Pabillo will be formally installed as the new bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay, Palawan on August 19, at 9 a.m. at the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral. Pabillos’s installation coincides with the feast day of San Ezequiel Moreno, an Agustinian Recollect missionary who served in Palawan after he was ordained a priest in Manila in 1871.
On the day of his installation, Pabillo, will likewise mark his 15th year as a bishop.
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI appointed Pabillo as auxiliary bishop of the Manila archdiocese in 2006. He served as apostolic administrator of the Archdiocese of Manila following Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle’s appointment at the Vatican.
Pope Francis named Pabillo to his new assignment on June 29 to replace Bishop Edgardo Juanich who retired in 2018 for health reasons.
Bishop Pabillo’s formal installation will be streamed live by the Manila Cathedral, TV Maria, and Radyo Veritas. Papal Nuncio Archbishop Charles John Brown and other Church leaders are expected to attend the event.
