Mayor Emi accepts apology of call center agent for bashing her

The 25 year-old call center agent who cursed Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano in his Facebook page appeared at the Mayor’s Office on Monday, July 19, and apologized to her.

A certain Nino from Malibay reportedly cursed Rubiano and the city’s frontliners in his Facebook post last week which was shared 105 times by other netizens.

Pasay City police chief Col. Cesar Paday-os said since the mayor has accepted the apology of the suspect, they will not file any case against him anymore.

Paday-os said the suspect was only asked to make a public apology to Rubiano and to the city's frontliners on his Facebook page.

And since his post cursing the mayor had 105 shares, he was asked to have at least 500 to 1000 likes and shares of his post apologizing to the mayor and the frontliners.

Paday-os said the suspect was also asked to post “Huwag akong tularan” (Do not emulate me) in destroying the reputation of the mayor.
