EXID's Hani, K-actress Yoon Jung-hee test positive for COVID-19

Add Hani of K-pop girl group EXID, actress Yoon Jung-hee and trot singer Kim Hee-jae to the list of Korean celebrities who have tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Hani, 29, and Yoon Jung-hee, 40, belong to the same agency, Sublime Artist Agency, which made announcements on July 20 about their health status.
Sublime Artist Agency said when Hani learned that a staff member who worked closely with her tested positive, she underwent preemptive testing and received a notice in the morning of July 20 that she is positive for the virus.
Hani is currently filming the JTBC drama “Idol” in which she plays the leading role. Because of her testing positive for COVID-19, the filming for the drama has been suspended and the cast and crew are undergoing tests.
She debuted in EXID in 2012 and under Sublime Artist Agency, she is using her real name Ahn Hee-yeon for her acting career.
On the other hand, the agency also announced on July 20 that actress Yoon Jung-hee also tested positive for COVID-19.
Yoon Jung-hee will appear in the drama “Now, We Are Breaking Up” starring Song Hye-kyo, Jang Ki-yong, Choi Hee-seo and Kim Joo-hun, which will start airing in the second half of the year.
In addition, trot singer Kim Hee-jae also tested positive for COVID-19 on July 20. His agency, New Era Project, said he tested negative after appearing on the trot show “Ppong School” on July 13 with Olympic gold medalists Park Tae-hwan and Mo Tae-bum.
He felt symptoms on July 19 and underwent a retest and was confirmed to be positive for the virus. Earlier, trot singers Jang Minho and Young Tak were found to be positive for COVID-19.
On July 20, Korean health authorities said 1,242 new confirmed COVID-19 cases have been added to bring the total confirmed cases to 180,481. South Korea has recorded 1,741 cases of the highly contagious Delta variant.
Last July 17, it was announced that K-pop boy band BTOB member Lee Min-hyuk tested positive for the virus.
YG Entertainment said on July 16 that 16-year-old So Jung-hwan, a member of K-pop boy band Treasure, was positive for COVID-19 after Doyoung was confirmed to have the virus on July 13.
Other Korean celebrities who have been recently confirmed with COVID-19 are model Han Hye-jin, former volleyball star Kim Yo-han, and athletes Yoon Dong-sik and Lee Hyung-taik.
Other Korean celebrities who tested positive for COVID-19 were singer Seo In-young, child actress Lee Go-eun, actress Cha Ji-yeon, K-pop girl group Lovelyz member Seo Ji soo, K-pop boy band Noir member Kim Min-hyuk, K-pop boy band ATEEZ member San and K-pop boy band Infinite’s Kim Sung-gyu.
