Solo bettor from Batangas bags P84-M Superlotto 6/49 jackpot prize

July is indeed a lucky month for a lone bettor from Batangas after winning the P84-million Superlotto 6/49 jackpot prize.

In an advisory, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Friday, July 2, announced that a winning ticket bought in Nasugbu, Batangas bagged the multi-million jackpot prize in a draw on Thursday night, July 1.

The bettor correctly guessed the winning combination for the Superlotto 6/49 which was 10 - 20 - 32 -40 - 08- 11, the PCSO confirmed. The bearer of the winning ticket won a total jackpot prize of P84, 057, 406.

Based on the summary of draws, there were 40 bettors who will receive P50,000 each as second prize winners. The Superlotto 6/49 draw is held at 9 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, PCSO said that there were no winners for the P12.5-million jackpot prize of Lotto 6/42 with the winning combination: 09 - 02 - 20 - 26 - 01 - 32. However, a total of 24 second prize winners will receive P24,000 each.

PCSO reminded that winners need to go to the its main office located in Mandaluyong City to claim the prizes. The winners need to bring winning ticket along with two identification cards and present these when claiming their prizes.

Prizes that are above P10,000, PCSO said, will be subjected to 20 percent tax pursuant to the TRAIN Law.

PCSO also reminded that prizes that were not claimed within one year from date of draw will also be considered as “forfeited” based on the Republic Act No. 1169.

On July 1, PCSO announced that a lone bettor from Calamba City in Laguna also won the P54.4-million Megalotto 6/45 jackpot prize. During a draw on June 30, the said winner correctly guessed the winning combination 14 - 25- 09 - 15 - 06 - 16.
