Raven, Fnatic stave off gutsy TNC to inch closer to TI10

Polo "Raven" Fausto proved that he's the one true carry in the Southeast Asia region as he led Fnatic to a hard-fought 2-0 sweep over TNC Predator in the upper bracket finals of The International 10 (TI10) SEA Qualifier on Friday night, July 2.

Fnatic moved one series win away from joining T1 as the SEA representatives in the $40 million (nearly P2 billion) TI10 this year, barging into the best-of-five grand finals of the regional qualifier set on Saturday.

Raven's Luna was simply too much to handle in Game 1 especially with fellow Filipino and captain-support Djardel "Dj" Mampusti's Abbadon providing him continuous sustain.

The 11K MMR carry came through with 16 kills and 11 assists against three deaths after spearheading the game-winning clash at the Roshan pit to seize the opener in 50 minutes.

Come Game 2, Raven's annoying Arc Warden made life hard for Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte's Terrorblade and company through his Tempest Double going on split pushes and chipping away at TNC's structures.

Malaysian midlaner Ng "ChYuan" Kee Chyuan on Storm Spirit also shone with his well-timed Electric Vortex initiations as Fnatic delivered perfect executions down the crucial stretch to wrap up the series after a 70-minute thriller.

Despite its gallant stand, TNC dropped to the best-of-three lower bracket finals where it will tangle with the winner between another PH bet Execration and Galaxy Racer.

Execration and GXR are fighting for their respective TI10 hopes at posting time.
