Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a Chinese national who allegedly yielded P680,000 worth of crystal meth or "shabu" concealed in a box of face mask during a buy bust operation in Mandaluyong City on Thursday afternoon, July 1.

PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES) Agent Marvin Mendoza identified the drug suspect as Zhou Xu, a former employee of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO).
PDEA agents arrested Xu around 3:30 p.m. at the lobby of a condominium building in Barangay Hulo where he is residing for three years already.
Aside from the three shabu packs weighing 100 grams, the PDEA team also seized from Xu a cellular phone and the buy-bust money used during the operation.
Mendoza disclosed that the PDEA was digging further to identify Xu's supplier of illegal drugs.
The suspect is now facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
