CCP's 'Lakbay' gets featured in Visions of Hope radio program

Empowering PWDs in making art

This Friday, July 2, 2021, at 5:30 p.m., radio program Visions of Hope will tackle and discuss the subject of inclusivity in artistic events and productions with empowering PWDs in artmaking, as well as the creative process behind the publication of “ANI 41.”

Hosted by Christian Foundation for Persons with Disabilities executive director, Carla Ajele C. Pendon, Visions of Hope is a radio program advocating family and community. It is a project of the CFPD, an empowered organization based in Bacolod City working toward a world where persons with disabilities are enabled and transformed to their full potential.

Bebang Siy, officer-in-charge of the CCP Intertextual Division, will talk about how the “ANI 41: Lakbay,” the latest issue of the CCP official publication, came about. Director, Jon Lazam, will discuss the online launch of the publication and turning literary pieces to performances.

Maria Margaret Pasco, a visually impaired singer from Bacolod City who performed during the “Lakbay” launch, will share her insights on how one can empower PWDs by hiring them as artists and performers in their own right.

Visions of Hope airs every Friday at 5:30 pm. Sessions are also simulcast through FB live stream via www.facebook.com/cfpdinc.
