The number of vaccines deployed by the local government of Manila reached one million on July 19, Monday.

In a Facebook post, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said that as of 9:04 a.m. on July 19, the city has hit the one million mark for total vaccines administered.
Out of the more than one million vaccines deployed, 657,748 were for the first dose, and 342,273 were for the second dose.
The mayor encouraged the public to help the government address the COVID-19 pandemic by getting vaccinated.
"Magtulong-tulong tayo...isang bangka lang tayo... (Let's help one another. We're on the same boat)," Domagoso said.
The Manila City began its vaccination rollout last March. The city has consistently broken its record for single-day vaccination in the months of June and July.
In his third State of the City Address, Domagoso said the city of Manila holds the national record for the highest single-day vaccination at 43,011 which the city achieved on July 5.
"Vaccination should be faster than infection...Vaccination is the solution," Domagoso said.
More than one million individuals have also registered for vaccination in the city of Manila as of the first week of July.
The city currently has 1,082 active cases.
