Pasay establishments urged to secure safety seal

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has asked all business establishments operating in the city to apply for safety seal certification to encourage more consumers to enter their establishments.

Rubiano said the safety seal certification will also allow business establishments to increase their operating capacity.

She said that Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) head Mitch Pardo reported that out of 13,502 registered business establishments in the city, only 1,011 secured the safety seal certification.

Pardo, for her part, admitted that the turnout of applicants was very low.

She said that as the economy slowly rebounds after more than a year, the assurance of safety seal is very much needed.

The BPLO chief said on June 11, the city government set up booths for easy safety seal application.

Pardo added that they also conducted random checks at all business establishments around the city to encourage them to secure safety seal certification.

She said business establishments can also apply for the safety seal certification at [email protected].
