A new health center in Malabon City was inaugurated Monday to accommodate more residents who are in need of medical assistance from the local government.
Mayor Lenlen Oreta led the opening of two-storey Super Health Center in Barangay Catmon which he said was launched "to give residents additional medical services, especially in time of the COVID-19 pandemic."

He said the new facility will bring health care closer to residents of District 1 or those living in barangays Panghulo, Maysilo, Santulan, Dampalit, Muzon, Hulong Duhat, Flores, Bayan-bayanan, Baritan, Concepcion, Niugan, Ibaba, San Agustin, and Tañong.
The services being offered in the Super Health Center include pediatric, adult, internal, and obstetrics-gynecological clinic consultations. The facility also offers the processing of CBC (complete blood chemistry), urinalysis, minor surgeries, and laboratory test results.

A birthing facility will also be built while x-ray and ultrasound services will also be added, the local government said.

Another health center will also rise to accommodate residents of District 2.
