The search is on for the next Miss Universe Philippines and one of the personalities rumored to join the competition is former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Kisses Delavin.
Fans were thrilled as Kisses trended on social medial following reports that she is set to conquer the universe.
"Grabe yung loyalty ng fanbase ni Kisses. She's been out from the spotlight for years then just a news of her joining MUPH trending agad. Last night pa yan until now," a netizen said.
Another netizen commented: "Not AOA or Kpop related but I just want to show how much I appreciate this girl. I can't wait to see her walking and slaying like a queen for #MUPH if the rumors are really true that she is joining. She deserves to join, we all need to be influenced by her."
Kisses, 22, first rose to fame when she placed second in "PBB: Lucky Seven" in 2016.
She was taking up a business course at the Dela Salle University when she put it on hold to join PBB.
This is not the first time that Kisses would join a beauty pageant. She already won Miss Teen Masbate in 2013 and Miss Kaogma in 2016.
In November 2019, Kisses left Star Magic and signed with APT Entertainment and Triple A Management, the same team that manages Kapuso stars Maine Mendoza and Marian Rivera. Recently, Kisses started appearing on GMA programs.
The Miss Universe Philippines has announced a new format in the selection of winners.
On July 19, Monday, the MUPh will reveal the Top 100 delegates out of the hundreds of applicants. They become official MUPh delegates who will undergo a series of virtual challenges in the following weeks.
Through online voting via the MUPh App and the judges, the field will be narrowed to a Top 75 and then a Top 50. These Top 50 delegates will then go to Manila for a live Interview Challenge with the Miss Universe Philippines board of judges. Ultimately, a Top 30 will be chosen and announced on Aug. 31.
The grand coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant will be held on Sept. 25.
