LOOK: 1.15M doses of AstraZeneca vaccine touch down at NAIA
A China Airlines flight carried 1.15 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines into the country on Friday morning, July 16.


The latest batch of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines, which was purchased by the private sector, touched down at 9:35 a.m. Friday at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 in Pasay City.
The jabs were part of the 5.5 million AstraZeneca doses procured by the private sector to inoculate its workers, according to Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion.

The first batch of the 3.3 million doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccines donated by the United States (US) government was also scheduled to arrive in the country Friday afternoon.
