It seems that some drama is brewing behind the scenes of “School 2021” after the agency of Kim Young Dae confirmed that the actor will be leaving the cast.
Outer Korea reportedly confirmed that the young actor, who rose to fame because of his breakout role in the hit series “Penthouse” will be leaving the cast since the character of Jung Young Joo was very different from what he agreed on when he signed on for the role.
Based on the original character description, Kim Young Dae will be playing the role of Jung Young Joo transfer student who has a hidden connection with the main character Gong Ki Joon, who will be played by Kim Yo Han.
After the official statement of his agency, the production of “School 2021” are complaining that Kim Young Dae’s handlers released the statement without confirming with the team.
“Actor Kim Young Dae, who was cast in “School 2021,” signed a contract to star in the drama and also attended main actor meetings and script reading practice sessions. While preparing for the first filming session in July, his agency suddenly expressed that the actor will be leaving the drama without negotiating with the production team. The production team and KBS have not agreed to actor Kim Young Dae’s departure and we are working to reach an amicable settlement,” they said.
They reiterated that a final decision is pending the discussion of the matter between the actor’s management and the drama’s production team. They assured that they will release a formal announcement once a final decision has been made.
