Willie Revillame gives update on plan to run for the Senate

Did Willie Revillame just confirm that he'll be running for the Senate in 2022?

During an episode of "Wowowin-Tutok To Win" recently, Willie said that he will make a major announcement first week of August.

"Ito po desisyon sa buhay para sa akin ito at para sa ating lahat. Sana po ay maintindihan niyo," he said.

Willie added: "Huwag kayong mag-alala hindi ako kenkoy sa Senado. Hindi kami magkekenkoyan. Tutulong, gagawa ng paraan, gagawa ng batas sa mga taong nagugutom. Hindi po magpapatawa doon."

Willie asked the public not to insult celebrities joining politics.

"Huwag niyo naman kami nilalait dahil kami malinis ang puso. Kami ang pag-iisip, walang iniisip. Nasa sa tao ang pag-gawa ng kawalanghiyaan. Nasa sa iyo kung magnanakaw. Wala po sa isip ko yan," the TV host-comedian reiterated.

"Ito ang programang nagbibigay. Dito, lugi ka pa, sa totoo lang. Pero dahil masaya ako, nakikita ko na lahat ng kababayan nakangiti at masaya... Don't judge."

He noted that bashing doesn't affect him at all as, to begin with, he doesn't use social media.

Recall that some days ago when Willie seemingly hinted that he’ll be passing on his role as TV host of “Wowowin-Tutok To Win” after talking about the “big decision” he is set to make “at the right time.”
