Four Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) students will represent the country in the international student debating competition.
WUDC, the world's largest debating tournament, follows the British Parliamentary Debate format -- four teams of two people in each debate.

The Ateneo 1 team, composed of Ignacio Villareal and Mike Vitug, broke second in the Open Category with 24 out of 27 points, the highest number any Asian institution has achieved.
The Ateneo 2 Team, composed of David Africa and Luigi Alcañeses broke 14th in the Open Category with 19 out of 27 points.
Alcañeses is currently the coach of the Ateneo Senior High School Debate Varsity, while Africa is the coach of the Ateneo Junior High School Debate Varsity.
The two teams will be competing against debaters from Zagreb and the London School of Economics on Wednesday, July 14 at 9 p.m.
The grand finals will be streamed live later at https://www.facebook.com/koreawudc2021/.
