Over 375K doses given in one day: PH sets new record-high daily vaccination throughput

The national government has administered 375,059 doses of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines nationwide in one day -- a new record-high vaccination throughput, the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 revealed Wednesday, July 14.

Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., vaccine czar and chief implementer of the National Task Force NTF Against COVID-19, said the feat was achieved last Tuesday, July 13.

Vaccination throughput refers to the total number of vaccines administered in a particular period of time.

The record-high vaccination throughput happened several days after the arrival of more than 3.2 million doses of AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines from July 8 to 10 which ended the vaccine drought experienced earlier this month.

Previously, Galvez said they were anticipating that the immunization program would pick up its pace after a delay in the deliveries of vaccines in the first week of July partially slowed it down.

As of July 13, a total of 13,817,358 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were already administered nationwide.

Of this number, 3,885,231 Filipinos have been fully vaccinated after receiving two doses of vaccine while 9,932,127 others have received their first dose.

The national government targets to fully vaccinate 77.75 million Filipinos by the end of 2021 to achieve herd immunity.
