The Manila City government has started the rollout of the second dose of Sputnik V vaccines on Wednesday, July 4.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso said the city has already received its supply of Sputnik V after its delivery to the country encountered several delays.
Individuals under the A1 (medical frontliners), A2 (senior citizens), and A3 (persons with comorbidities) priority groups who got their first dose of Sputnik V last June 2 were the first to receive the second dose.
The second dose vaccinations for Sputnik V were held at Sta. Ana Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, Gat Andres Bonifacio, Justice Jose Abad Santos, Ospital ng Sampaloc, and Ospital ng Tondo.
More than 3,000 second dose vaccines of Sputnik V were deployed by the city on its first day of rollout.
Domagoso, meanwhile, assured all Sputnik V recipients that the city already has its second dose and will deploy them in the coming days.
“Para sa lahat ng nabakunahan ng Sputnik V (To all those who were vaccinated with Sputnik V), all you have to do is patiently wait sa announcement natin (for our announcement),” Domagoso said in his regular Facebook live update on July 13.
Originally, the gap between the first and second dose of Sputnik V should be just 21 days.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), which co-developed the vaccine, said that the gap between the two doses can be extended up to 180 days.
The country received 132,200 doses of Sputnik V vaccines on July 9.
