Leaders of Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) filed formal complaints on Wednesday, July 14, before the National Bureau of Investigation Cybercrime Division against posts from state-sponsored pages red-tagging and vilifying labor leaders as "terrorists."

Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Elago also joined the filing.
"Pangako sa manggagawam wawakasan ang kontraktwalisasyon. Pero kalayaan at karapatan namin ang tinatarget na wakasan sa pamamagitan ng red-tagging, harasment, aresto, at pagpaslang (They promise to end contractualization. But now they are targeting our freedom and rights through red-tagging, harassment, arrest, and murder)," KMU secretary general Jerome Adonis said in a statement.
Adonis stressed that red-tagging is no joke because it "preludes graver attacks."
KMU cited the case of PAMANTIK-KMU vice chairperson Dandy Miguel, who was allegedly red-tagged before he was killed by an unidentified gunman in Laguna in March.
"Ang tanging hangad namin ay kagalingan ng manggagawa sa porma ng nakabubuhay na sahod, disente, at regular na trabaho at pagrespeto sa karapatang unyon ng bawat manngagawa (We only ask for our welfare in the form of a living wage, decent, and regular employment and respect for the union rights of every worker)," Adonis said.
KMU also called on the NBI and social networking giant Facebook to take action for the posts to be taken down.
