Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said Monday night, July 12, that they plan to finish the vaccination of 1.8 million government employees and 2.2 million OFWs this month until August.

"Gusto na rin na po tapusin natin po 'yong pagbabakuna sa ating mga security sector, lalong-lalo na po pati 'yong OFWs, pati 'yong teacher kasi napagkayarian na po natin sa IATF na kung just in case talagang magkakaroon tayo ng open face-to-face sa ating education eh kailangan po ‘yong lahat ng teachers ay mabakunahan po (We want to finish the vaccination of our security sector personnel especially OFWs, and including teachers as the IATF agrees that in case we would have face-to-face , we need to vaccinate all of our teachers)," Galvez said at President Duterte's pre-recorded public address.

According to the vaccine czar, among those who will be prioritized include personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Also going to be prioritized are employees of the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Tourism (DOT), Bureau of Customs (BOC), Bureau of Immigration, and OFWs including seafarers.

From March 1 to July 11, the national government has already administered 13,196,282 million doses nationwide.

Among those vaccinated include the A1 to A5 priority sectors such as healthcare workers, senior citizens, persons with co-morbidities, economic frontliners, and indigenous population.
