PH Red Cross announces 1st accredited 'Bakuna' center outside Metro Manila
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on Tuesday, July 13, announced that its Bulacan Chapter was the first accredited “Bakuna Center” outside of the National Capital Region (NCR).

PRC noted that the PRC Bulacan Chapter was “the first to receive accreditation” from the Department of Health (DOH) last June. On July 1, PRC opened its first “Bakuna Center” outside Metro Manila in the Valencia Hall of the Bulacan State University in the City of Malolos.
The PRC’s Bakuna Center in Bulacan has vaccinated 160 individuals from category A1 to A3 with Sinovac from the LGU.
“The more people we vaccinate, the faster we can beat the virus,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon.
“In this way, people can now safely go back to work and their schools, we can open up the economy and help end the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
Present during the the dry run was PRC Bulacan Chapter Administrator Ric Villacorte, City Health Office of Malolos Dr. Vic Batanes, Bulacan State University Board of Directors Vice-Chairperson and University President Dr. Cecilia Gascon, and Department of Education (DepEd) Bulacan representative Dr. Zenia Mostoles.
As of July 12, the PRC Bulacan Chapter has vaccinated 482 individuals residing in Bulacan.
PRC said that its staff and volunteers will continue to vaccinate every Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
