Following the disbandment of its former team, Nexplay Esports is now looking to rebuild its League of Legends: Wild Rift male division with fresh and championship-hungry players.

The fan-favorite esports organization announced its search for aspiring professional players through its official Facebook page on Tuesday night, July 13, a day after it bared the disbandment of its ex-Wild Rift squad.

Interested applicants must have a total of 1,000 ranked games played and should have a win rate of 50% and above (all matches from S0-S2).They must be ranked Diamond or higher with a win rate of 60% and above for Seasons 1 and 2, and must have a large pool of champions for a secondary role.

Only those 16 years old and above will be eligible to join NXP's new Wild Rift division. Selected applicants will undergo a series of tryouts to determine the worthy players for some or all of the available roles in the team.

"Wild Rift’s competitive scene is indeed progressing and this progress requires every esports team to cope up with the current meta. One cannot be lax and have to maintain progress, or you`ll get left behind," said Adrian Rob Son, NXP co-owner and head of business development and partnership, in a message to Manila Bulletin.

"This search for young bloods would allow us to sift through the players from skillful and persevered ones who are willing and have the capability to pursue and adapt things through including change. It’s not just the skillful ones or intelligent ones who survive, it's the ones who can adapt!" he added.

NXP's former WR team showed promise in the early stages of Riot's mobile MOBA esports title but struggled later on during the Southeast Asia Icon Series proper.

After winning a slew of preseason tournaments, NXP emerged victorious in the SEA Icon Series PH Preseason with a near perfect title run.

The team then ended up second behind Team Secret in the North Luzon group stage but crashed out in the Icon Series PH Playoffs to settle for a 5th-6th place finish.

NXP failed to qualify for the $150,000 (roughly P7.5 million) Summer Super Cup where Amihan and Secret served as the country's representatives.

The squad was composed of Justine "Juschie" Tan (jungler), Miguel "Arisen" Pison (baron), Aaron "Chuely" Bingay (mid laner), Jovannie "Ooozee" Colong (ADC), Jazzfer "Dizastr" Villahermosa (support) and Ralph "zMitch" Alvarez (mid/captain-analyst) under team manager Taz_Run21.

Taz_Run21 tweeted last Saturday that the players are "splitting up and looking to get picked up individually."
