Muntinlupa resumes first dose vaccination using AstraZeneca; second dose jabs at 70K
The Muntinlupa City government has resumed first dose vaccination Tuesday after suspending it due to lack of new vaccine supply.
In an announcement, the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) said the resumption was implemented after the City Health Office (CHO) received a new supply of 22,780 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the national government.

The first dose vaccination using AstraZeneca vaccines will be used at the following vaccination sites in Muntinlupa: SM Center Muntinupa (July 13 only), Festival Mall upper ground floor parking (July 13 only), Sucat covered court, New Cupang Health Center, Biazon covered court in Southville 3 housing project, and De La Salle Santiago Zobel School.
Second dose vaccinations using Prizer-BioNTech will be held at SM Center Muntinlupa from July 14 to 16; Ayala Malls South Park on July 14-16 and 19; and Festival Mall from July 14-17. Recipients of Pfizer-BioNTech are advised to follow their updated schedules and instructions indicated in the text message from MunCoVac.
The Muntinlupa City government has suspended the first and second dose vaccinations using Sinovac Life Sciences’ CoronaVac due to lack of new supply.
According to MunCoVac, based on the National Task Force Against COVID-19 Advisory No. 62, the Department of Health DOH All Experts Group on Vaccines assured that prolonging the interval period between the first and second doses of CoronaVac for three to six months is acceptable if the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines is affected by the global vaccine supply.
As of July 12, the Muntinlupa City government has deployed 223,436 vaccines. Of the total, 152,900 individuals have received their first dose, or 39.6 percent of the target population of 385,725, and 70,356 are now fully vaccinated after getting their second dose, or 18.3 percent of the target.
MunCoVac stressed that vaccination in the city is still by appointment and residents will need to register online via https://vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac. Residents are notified about their schedule via text message from MunCoVac.
