Easterlies to bring scattered rain showers, thunderstorms over E. Visayas, Caraga, Davao Region

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may persist over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region due to the prevalence of the warm and humid easterly winds, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday morning, July 13.
Those in Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Northern Samar, Samar, Southern Leyte, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental are advised to take precautions against possible flash floods or landslides as rains may become moderate to at times heavy.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have warm and humid weather but may still experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA also advised to remain vigilant against flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours.
PAGASA, meanwhile, said that no gale warning is in place on Tuesday as slight to moderate sea conditions may prevail across the country.
While no gale warning is in effect, PAGASA still advised seafarers and fisherfolk to remain alert as sea conditions may become rough during severe offshore thunderstorms.
