The Parañaque City Mayor’s Office was awarded with the safety seal certification by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Monday after passing the health and safety protocols to prevent transmission of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The safety seal was stamped by DILG Parañaque Director John Visca and witnessed by Mayor Edwin Olivarez.
Olivarez said the safety seal received by the Mayor’s Office guarantees its adherence to the prescribed sanitation, cleanliness standards and health protocols.
At the same time, the mayor also visited the City Hall lobby, Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Treasurer's Office, Assessor's Office and Office of the Senior Citizens Affair (OSCA) to conduct inspection and monitoring.
According to Olivarez, the offices are frequently visited by taxpayers including senior citizens and he wants these safe for visitors to ensure that standard health protocols are being followed. He said more offices at the City Hall will also be awarded with the safety seal certification.
The mayor also urged all offices at the City Hall to make their workplace conducive and safe for transacting residents by following the standard health protocols set by the national government.
