PCG substation to rise for coastal communities in Iba, Zambales
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is set to build a substation to protect residents in coastal communities in Iba, Zambales.

The officials of PCG Station Zambales, Barangay Amungan, and Amungan Fishermen Association have signed a memorandum of agreement for the Coast Guard’s utilization of the 60 square-meter floor area building outpost located in Sitio Balintabog, Purok 5, Barangay Amungan, Iba, Zambales on Thursday, July 8.
The PCG said the substation Iba is intended to strengthen the armed service’s presence and “bring public service closer” to local residents in the coastal community.

The agreement was signed by Station Commander, LTJG Napoleon Veneracion II of PCG Station Zambales, Barangay Captain Richard Redondo of Barangay Amungan, and Chairman Rodolfo Besa of Amungan Fishermen Association.
