Easterlies to bring scattered rains over 4 areas; warm, humid weather in Metro Manila, rest of PH -- PAGASA

The easterlies, or the warm and humid winds originating from the Pacific Ocean, may bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Quezon, and Aurora in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday afternoon, July 11.

Those in these areas were advised to take precautions against possible flash floods or landslides as rains may become moderate to at times heavy.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have warm and humid weather but may still experience isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon or evening.

PAGASA still advised the public to remain vigilant against flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Severe thunderstorms are often associated with bursts of heavy rainfall, lightning, thunder, and gusty winds that usually last up to two hours.

PAGASA, meanwhile, said that no gale warning is in place as slight to moderate sea conditions may prevail across the country.

While no gale warning is in effect, PAGASA still advised seafarers and fisherfolk to remain alert as sea conditions may become rough during severe offshore thunderstorms.
