Ogie Alcasid bids US-bound Jaya goodbye

Singer-songwrite Ogie Alcasid recently shared on social media a screen shot of him and wife Regine Velasquez bidding their good friend Jaya, farewell.

He wrote as caption, “Saying goodbye to you mare was so difficult. Too many memories of joy, laughter, tears, and of course, music. I trust the Lord that this is just for now as he has blessed us with a friendship filled with so much love and respect. God bless you, Gary and the entire fambam as you navigate through this new chapter in your life. We love you!”

Jaya replied, “Pare baon ko lahat ng memories natin. I’m so blessed because of you and Mare. God be with you as well and we will see you soon. I love you and the whole family.”

Jaya shared with fans her plans to stay for good in the US, early this year, relating the hardships she and family continue to experience here due to the ongoing pandemic.

She and her two kids left the country, July 10.

In a post she said, Let’s do this!!! Now it’s time to see my dear husband @garygotidoc and son @gavingotidoc and start this new journey God has planned all along..."

She then thanked fans and supporters noting, "Lahat po ng mga sinabi nyo ay nakakataba ng puso and I will always be grateful..."
