Muntinlupa LGU deploys 218,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses

The Muntinlupa City government has already deployed a little over 218,000 doses of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines.

With the first dose vaccination still suspended due to lack of new supply, the Muntinlupa City government is focusing on administering the second dose to residents and workers.

As of July 9, 218,064 doses have been administered in Muntinlupa. Of the total, 152,900 individuals got their first dose, or 39.6 percent of the target population of 385,725.

There were also 65,164 individuals who received their second dose, or 16.9 percent of the target population. This is an increase of 14,298 second dose recipients from 50,866 recorded on July 7 and up by 20,706 individuals from 44,458 last July 5.

Of the 152,900 first dose recipients, 10,928 are A1 (health workers), 19,319 are A2 (senior citizens), 64,975 are A3 (persons with comorbidities), 49,396 are A4 (essential workers) and 8,282 are A5 (poor population).

By vaccine, 104,193 individuals, or 68 percent, received Sinovac Life Sciences’ CoronaVac, 24,565 got Pfizer-BioNTech, 19,063 received AstraZeneca, 2,979 got Gamaleya’s Sputnik V and 2,100 were given Moderna.

Out of the 65,164 individuals who were given the second dose, 5,476 belonged to A1, 11,688 to A2, 38,886 to A3 and 8,449 to A4

By vaccine, 51,742, or 79.4 percent, received CoronaVac, 8,138 got Pfizer-BioNTech, 2,934 were administered Sputnik V and 2,350 were given AstraZeneca.

Mayor Jaime Fresnedi continued his call for the public to register with the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac).

To date, 279,709 have registered with the vaccination program, or 72.5 percent of the target population.

Last July 5, the Muntinlupa City government announced the suspension of first dose vaccination for two weeks due to lack of new vaccine supply.
