In its bid to boost the people's confidence on COVID-19 vaccines, the Mandaluyong City local government formally launched on Friday its safety seal campaign for households and establishments whose residents and employees have been already vaccinated.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos, together with barangay captains of Hagdan Bato Itaas and Hagdan Bato Libis and other officials, visited the houses and stores along Sen. Neptali A. Gonzales Street and attached the "Relax We're Vaxed" safety seal stickers.
For the household or establishment to be given the "Relax We're Vaxed" safety seal stickers, residents and employees must show their vaccinations cards as proof that they've been vaccinated or have already received at least one dose of the vaccine.

"As long as all members of the family eligible to be vaccinated have received at least their first dose, we'll put the safety seal stickers in front of their house or store. It's also our way to encourage individuals who haven't gotten the vaccine to register at our MandaVax portal and get vaccinated," Abalos said.
Meanwhile, the LGU also vaccinated bedridden senior citizens so they can also be protected against the dreaded virus.
A total of 100 vaccines were given to residents of the two barangays.
"We have 27,000 senior citizens and 1,000 of them aren't vaccinated yet. We hope that by doing on-site vaccinations like this we'll be able to vaccinate 100% of senior citizens in the city," Abalos said.
As of July 8, the city has already deployed 282,770 vaccines.
He said 206,726 residents have received their first dose while 76,044 their second dose.
