Presidential spokesman Harry Roque is still undecided on whether or not he will run for senator in the 2022 elections.

Roque said he was still contemplating about his political plans although he dropped hints about discussing the matter with President Duterte.
"Well, hindi ko pa po alam (Well, I still don't know yet). Nothing is certain. In the field of politics, nothing is certain until the papers have been filed so I continue to pray and ponder on this point," he said during a televised press conference in Iloilo City Thursday, July 1.
Asked if he has talked to the President about a possible 2022 run, Roque laughed and said: "That's between me and the President."
Roque meantime thanked Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas for expressing support if he runs for an elective post next year.
"It helps that the city of mother, the mayor of the city of mother's birthplace has said that he will support me and i appreciate that very much from the bottom of my heart, Mayor Treñas," he said.
Roque earlier said budget and health issues were among the concerns on whether or not he would run for senator in next year's elections.
The former lawmaker withdrew from the 2019 senatorial race due to health concerns. He returned to his old post as the President's spokesman in 2020.
